Created as a project in Critical Making @ Berkeley in Spring 2019, AdBag is a critical protest object that responds to the challenge of questioning norms and problematizing contemporary social issues. AdBag materializes the invisible algorithmic processes behind ad targeting into the real world.

Presented as a tool for a novel physical ad-targeting service, AdBag brings the problematic bucketizing of individuals into the spotlight and opens up a space for dialogue around the lack of transparency of ad-serving platforms.
